Beaver Basecamp Checklist

From the Admissions page, Beaver Basecamp is "your admissions portal to review application status, confirm enrollment, view financial aid awards, apply for on-campus housing, register for START orientation and more. Basecamp is for applications submitted either at OSU or with Common Application. Beaver Basecamp provides a real time list/checklist of next steps so you know what you've completed on your way to enrolling at Oregon State."

Below we'll list some of the major Beaver Basecamp Checklist items and how they pertain to START Orientation.

**Please note that not all checklist items are listed. For accuracy, please consult your Beaver Basecamp directly.**

Activating your ONID is incredibly important as it will grant you access to all OSU resources, such as Canvas, Beaver Hub, and Outlook. Once you become a Beaver, all communication with the University, either sent or received, will be through your ONID email address.

Confirming your enrollment, and paying your Advance Tuition Deposit (ATD), is prerequisite to registering for START. You can do this through your Beaver Basecamp.

**First-Year Students Only**

Just like signing your housing contract, being registered for START is a prerequisite for receiving your room assignment.

All incoming students are required to take the ALEKS Math Placement Assessment, regardless of any previous coursework taken. The ALEKS Assessment must be completed before you attend START orientation.

START is Oregon State's New Student Orientation Program -- a prerequisite to meeting with your academic advisor and registering for classes.

Proof of immunizations need to be sent to Student Health Services before, or during the student's first term. Noncompliance will result in a hold being placed on the registration process for the student's second term at Oregon State.
